Lemon is the everyday-use essential oil known for its powerful cleansing and purifying qualities. Although the origin of the Lemon isn’t known, some believe lemon to have come from northeast India, Burma, or China, then introduced to Italy around 200 B.C. We use lemon essential oil from Italy because Italy’s climate produces a rich and lively, higher quality oil.

TOPICALLY:
Massage on throat to clear airways
Apply diluted oil to acne or to cleanse skin
AROMATIC:
Add a few drops to a diffuser to purify the air
Add a few drops to palms of hands, cover nose and mouth and inhale
INTERNALLY: (see internal use safety recommendations)Dilute with carrier oil & add to cold or hot beverage to aid digestion & for oral health
CLEANSING:
Add several drops of oil to water in a spray bottle to disinfect household surfaces or mist to purify the air
Add a few drops to surfaces to remove oil, grease, crayon or adhesives
Use instead of bleach to keep stored water fresh
CULINARY:
Add to marinades, desserts, & drinks for a refreshing zing and to enhance the flavor of foods
UV Warning If used topically, we recommend applying it to areas that will be covered with clothing, or diluting below 2%. If it is applied at a level over 2% dilution, avoid exposing the area to sun or tanning bed (UV) rays for 18 hours after application. Cautions: May interact with anti-diabetic medication.
Although most people are not sensitive to Lemon essential oil, it is advisable to test a small area first. If sensitivity occurs, use a carrier oil to dilute.
Shelf Life: 2 years. Old oil should be disposed of to avoid oxidation.
Our Safety Advice: Because of its (+)-limonene content we recommend that oxidation of lemon oil is avoided by storage in a dark, airtight container in a refrigerator. The addition of an antioxidant to preparations containing it is recommended.

Its antidepressant actions mean that Lemon is very good in diffuser blends and topical blends for lifting the mood. Lemon can inhibit cholinesterase (Oboh, Olasehinde and Ademosun 2014), and thus has cognition-enhancing potential.

Lemon essential oil and d-limonene are inhibitors of 5-LOX.
The essential oil displays good anti-inflammatory activity.
Antioxidant
Analgesic capabilities Hirota et al. (2010) suggested this might be due to its considerable anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities.
Anxiolytic
Lemon essential oil, and its components limonene and citral, can decrease both physical and psychological stress.
Inhalation of d-limonene has anxiolytic action (reduces anxiety).
Hepatoprotective
Noted that d-limonene had hepatoprotective action.
d-Limonene can increase the rate of synthesis of glutathione S-transferase in the liver. This is an important enzyme in detoxification pathways.
Skin Penetration Enhancer
d-Limonene, the principle component, enhances skin penetration

I've recently switched from plug air fresheners full of chemicals to EOs. The lemon is one of my favorites. It's great to diffuse on its own or mixes well with anything! Lemon is a staple that everyone should have!

Absolutely love the lemon essential oil! It is very uplifting by itself or great to put in the diffuser with lavender and peppermint for allergies… And also nice to cook/season with!

This is a wonderful lemon oil! I use it for so many things. Its wonderful to clean with. Also a few drops on a light bulb makes my whole room smell fresh!

This brand is my absolute favorite!! This scent is so uplifting, just like fresh squeeze lemons. I add this to my water everyday. Just 2 precious drops to a larger 32 fluid oz of H2O is all that you need.
