Description

Peru Balsam is a calming and soothing essential oil that helps to center emotions as it eases stress and anxiety. It can be especially helpful during cold and flu season as it can improve rest and ease respiratory congestion. A small amount can be added to lotions and other skincare products to improve and moisturize skin. Peru Balsam has a pleasing and mellow earthy, woody, vanilla-like aroma that blends well with florals, woods, and spices such as Allspice and Cinnamon.

Benzyl benzoate, the main constituent in Peru Balsam, is said to treat scabies and lice. Care should be taken to dilute Peru Balsam to avoid skin sensitization if applying topically. For more information, see Safety tab.
