Amyris has a more subtle woodsy, earthy aroma with a hint of vanilla sweetness that is grounding, soothing and relaxing. It can be diffused to help reduce anxiety and stress or to aid sleep, or added to skincare products to help beautify and enhance the skin. It’s also frequently used as a fixative in perfumes to extend the life of the blend, has been used as a Vetiver or Sandalwood substitute, and blends particularly well with other woody oils like Ho Wood, Cedarwood, or Pine as well as resinous oils like Elemi, Myrrh or Frankincense and sweeter citrus oils such as Sweet or Blood Orange or Tangerine, and easily complements more masculine blends.
